Note: The "B" interface, the one set for DHCP, is always the one closer to the antenna port.
Mounting the SatSite on the tower
Note: Tower work is dangerous. Do not attempt to climb a tower without proper equipment and training.
Each SatSite is provided with a pair of mounting brackets. These are different for 142 , 132 and high-temperature ("142T") versions.
Each mounting bracket has
- a flat or U-shaped plate that attaches to the SatSite radiator
- a set of 3 bridles for different sizes of poles
- a set of bolts and nuts and washers for assembly

SatSite 142T (high-temperature)

The SatSite operates from -48 VDC. The input is diode-protected against reverse voltage.
The unit is supplied with a 10-meter power cable and an extra connector so that you can make your own cable following the information below.
The unit is supplied with a 200W 48VDC supply that can be used to power it from mains power of 120-240 VAC, 50-60 Hz.
Power connector details
Power supply cables
- positive (supply ground, "V+") = brown cable
- negative (-48 VDC, "V-") = black and grey cables
- safety ground (G) = green + yellow cable
- mains neutral = blue
- mains 120-240 VAC 50-60 Hz ("hot" or "live") = brown
The installation kit includes a grounding strap that should be attached from the radiator (142) or mounting bracket bolts (132) to a sufficient ground point.
Note: The design of grounding systems is site-specific. Please consult a local electrician for a proper grounding system for your site.
The Satsite has two Ethernet connectors for Network A and Network B.
By design Network B is the port closer to the Antenna
- Network A has the fixed IP 10.0.3.1
- Network B will have DHCP IP address
Note: We recommend installing both network cables to the SatSite unit, so that the "A" port can be used to recover the unit if DHCP fails.
Thread the shroud onto the ethernet cable.
Attach and crimp the R5-45 connector onto the cable in the standard way.
For this step, you need two 19 mm wrenches. Slide the shroud over the connector.
The connector will slide completely into the shrowd, further than shown here. Then tighten the gland nut around the cable. When attaching the cable to the SatSite unit, align the connector first, then press it into place, then turn the shroud body to lock the connector. Also check the gland nut is tight and forms a good seal.
RF cable and antenna
Please pay attention: When a SatSite unit is powered, the output can be as high as 20 watts RMS, enough power to cause burns if you come into direct contact with the central conductor in the connector or on the cable. Use caution and avoid working with actively powered radio equipment.
RF cable needs to be connected with caution while rotating it. Its recommended to use spanner 14 mm while connecting the cable
In order to get started with Satsite , you can either use the static IP or dynamic IP.
1. Using static IP Connect Network A ethernet to PC , and assign the PC static IP address in the network 10.0.3.x /8 Then you can access it via ssh
- ssh firstname.lastname@example.org -p 54321
- then telnet 0 5037
or via the web interface http://10.0.3.1:2080/lmi The username is yatebts and the password is the serial number
2. Using dynamic IP Connect Network B to your local network and make sure it get DHCP IP address Then you can access it via ssh
- ssh yatebts@<DHCP_IP_ADDRESS> -p 54321
- then telnet 0 5037
or via the web interface http://<DHCP_IP_ADDRESS>:2080/lmi The username is yatebts and the password is the serial number
