UE PHY Loading Simulator

The UE PHY loading simulator creates a set of simulated UEs at the MAC and PHY layers.

These simulated UEs can be active or idle.

• Idle UEs send occasional scheduling requests but do not generate DL traffic.
• Active UEs generate UL and DL traffic at the MAC layer at about the same level as someone using YouTube.

To add simulated UEs to the ENB PHY:

enb uepool sim active=<num> idle=<num>

In the enb uepool chans outputs, simulated UEs are marked with an S following the RNTI.

To remove all of the simulated UEs from the ENB PHY:

enb uepool sim clear=true
